How The Wellbeing Barn got 100+ enquiries through its website

A skin clinic in Hampshire, a calmer website, real photography and restructured Google Ads. Here's what we did and what's happened since.

The Wellbeing Barn is a skin clinic in Hampshire run by Lucinda. She’s brilliant at what she does, and her clients love her. The website just wasn’t showing that.

The brief

Lucinda wanted a calmer, more premium website that would sell her treatments and memberships. Something that felt like walking into the clinic: considered, warm and professional, without the hard sell.

What I did

  • Wrote every word. Clear treatment pages that explain what each one is, who it’s for and what to expect, in plain English.
  • Designed and built a new website on WordPress, with a calm look and simple paths to booking.
  • Shot all the photography. Lucinda, the treatment rooms and the team who work alongside her. No stock photos anywhere.
  • Restructured the Google Ads that feed the site, so each ad points to the page that matches what someone searched for.

What’s happened since

The website has brought in over 100 enquiries since March, through the site itself. Those numbers come from the site’s own analytics, shared here with Lucinda’s permission.

What made the difference

I’d love to say it was clever design. It wasn’t, really. It was a few unglamorous things done properly:

  • Real photos. People booking a skin treatment want to see who’ll be looking after them and where. That builds trust faster than any headline.
  • Pages that match searches. Someone searching for a specific treatment lands on the page about that treatment, not a homepage they have to dig through.
  • Tracking that works. We can see where enquiries come from, so we can keep improving what’s working.

And honestly, a lot of the credit goes to Lucinda. The website makes it easier for people to see how good the clinic is. It can’t make a business good. She’d already done that part.

Other recent results

Jack Kempton Golf, a golf coach in Southampton, had 57 enquiries in the first four months after his new site launched. Amalfi, a restaurant in Hythe, gets around 1,000 visitors a month, with four in ten finding them on Google. Some of my other sites have only just launched, so it’s early days for those, but every one went live with tracking set up so we’ll know.
